Tinybuild announces breathtaking new action fantasy adventure Asterigos: Curse Of The Stars at PAX East 2022

This weekend the publisher TinyBuild came out swinging at PAX with a great selection of current and upcoming games. This included a new unannounced game. We now know the name of the game "Asterigos: Curse of the stars" It was playable on the show floor, and we got our hands on it. 

Asterigos: Curse of the Stars is a fantasy third person action RPG that draws inspiration from ancient Greek and Roman mythologies.  You play as a young warrior named Hilda, embarking on a journey to the cursed city in order to save Hilda's lost father. 

Along the way you explore the magnificent city of Aphes battle legions of unique enemies and dozens of powerful mythical bosses. Each encounter demands you to be flexible and apply the proper battle mechanics and choice of weaponry in order to effectively dispose of them. You can combine and choose from a number of completely different weapons on the fly switching in a moment between sword and shield, fast slicing daggers, staff, spear of even powerful hammer to attack your foes. With a solid dose of magic attacks you can further crowd control or disperse your foes up close or at a safe distance.

The game comes with some light free form exploration but will also slightly nudge you towards progress.  If you clear an area and find yourself back at the shrine you came from you can decide to rest at the cost of all enemies respawning, not unlike Elden Ring and other souls like games.  By retreading your path you will discover the long-forgotten secrets and hidden pathways that will help you get a complete picture of the world you find yourself in.

During the game you will get to choose from a variety of ranged and melee weapons on the go and combine them as you wish! The talent system that is used in the game, allows you complete freedom in what weapons and techniques you used to engage in combat. there will be six completely different weapons: sword and shield, dual blades, spear, hammer, staff or even magic bracelets to use and create combos with on the fly. You will have to learn and determine which combos are most effective against what enemies. 

You will find yourself fighting a lot of interesting and challenging enemies currently we know there will be 60 different monsters and encounter 22 unique bosses in the game and each will come with its own unique battle mechanics. 

Asterigos will be a full fledged adventure with over one hundred collectibles, numerous side quests and will feature a New Game+ mode!

 The demo we played felt great, was beautiful and truly conveyed the feel of the game and if the complete game continues this trend then this will be a must play title when it comes out later this year. For not definitely put it on your watch list if this type of game sounds like your cup of tea.
