Submissions open for 2026 Too many Games Indie Game Showcase.

TooManyGames is officially opening the doors once again for indie developers around the world, announcing that submissions are now live for the 2026 TooManyGames Indie Game Showcase. Partnering once more with Philadelphia-based indie developer and publisher Retroware, the long-running showcase continues its mission of spotlighting some of the most exciting independent games in development today.

Now entering its 16th year, the TooManyGames Indie Game Showcase has become one of the longest-running indie-focused events in convention history. Over the years, it has helped introduce countless standout titles to new audiences, offering both developers and players a space to connect over creative, innovative game experiences.

The 2026 showcase will once again kick off with a digital-first event, launching on June 23 with the Indie Game Showcase on Steam. This online celebration allows players across the globe to dive into demos from a carefully curated lineup of upcoming indie titles. By hosting the event on Steam, TooManyGames gives developers the chance to reach millions of potential players, while fans get hands-on access to the latest projects before they hit full release.

Last year’s digital showcase proved just how impactful the format can be. The 2025 event generated nearly 2.5 million impressions on Steam over the course of the week, marking a massive 162 percent increase compared to the year prior. With momentum like that behind it, expectations are high for the 2026 edition to reach even more players and spotlight an even broader range of indie talent.

Following the online portion, the Indie Game Showcase will return in person from June 26 through June 28 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, Pennsylvania. During the physical convention, indie developers will have the opportunity to present their games directly to tens of thousands of attendees, offering hands-on demos, answering questions, and building buzz face-to-face.

Last year’s live showcase featured several indie standouts that left a strong impression on players, including Pizza Kidd, Fatal Run 2089, Pixel Noir, and Ashcroft. These titles demonstrated the diversity and creativity that the showcase has become known for, spanning genres and art styles while delivering unique gameplay experiences.

Immediately after the Indie Game Showcase livestream on June 26, TooManyGames will also host the TooManyGames Indie Game Awards. The awards ceremony celebrates excellence across the indie gaming scene, highlighting standout achievements in various categories. The show is hosted by Justin Silverman, Creative Director at Retroware, with winners announced by a lineup of well-known gaming personalities.

To mark the opening of submissions for 2026, TooManyGames has released the full video presentations from the 2025 Indie Game Showcase and the 2025 Indie Game Awards on the official TooManyGames YouTube channel. The videos feature appearances from popular creators and gaming figures including Vinny Vinesauce, RGT85, John Riggs, Wood Hawker of BeatEmUps, and more. These presentations offer a great look back at last year’s highlights while setting the stage for what’s to come in 2026.

For indie developers looking to get their games in front of a massive audience, the TooManyGames Indie Game Showcase continues to be a major opportunity. With both a high-visibility digital event and a bustling in-person convention experience, the showcase provides multiple ways to gain exposure, connect with fans, and celebrate the indie community.

Submissions are officially open now, and with the continued growth of the event year over year, competition is sure to be strong.
