Samsung to infinity and beyond

Samsung is officially releasing it's new flagship phone the Samsung galaxy S8 and S8 plus tomorrow. But many people that preordered started receiving their phones today to much excitement.
after the exploding cellphone debacle that was the Note S7 it is important for Samsung to deliver this time and they looked to do just that with the newGalaxy S8 series. Delivering a 5.8 inch version ( S8) and a larger 6.2 inch model (S8 Plus).

And at first sight, deliver they did. Introducing a beautiful screen, called the infinite display that only has the slimmest of bezel at the top and bottom for sensors and camera leaving a lot of screen left over for a beautiful display with a 18:5:9 aspect ratio and a full HD capable screen (2960x1440).

Introducing their version of a smart assistant Bixby, Samsung is trying to bring smart technology to the consumer in an effort to go head to head with OK Google and Siri. They even went as far as adding a dedicated button for this feature but so far we need to wait and see how well it will work now and in the future.

As always the cellphone tech moves  fast, but at this time Samsung has the top ranking flagship on the android market not in part due to the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 4 GB of Ram and 64 GB of storage.

The only other phone that comes close at this point is LG's new G6.

What is further interesting is that the Samsung still has a standard headphone port even though they did move on to USB C , even though it was rumored they would follow Apple's lead on moving away from this old technology. And still they managed a dust and water resistant device ( up to 30minutes in 1.5 meter depth) meaning it can survive a drop int he sink, toilet or a water balloon fight.

So if you are looking for a new phone go check it out and get some hands on.
